Jacklyn Marie Genereaux

Jacklyn Marie Genereaux, 79, of Stevensville passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at University of Texas Health Science Center in Tyler, Texas.


Jacklyn was born May 23, 1934, in Hartford, the daughter of Levi and Mary (Alexis) Wesaw. She was an active member of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians. She loved playing card games, listening to country music and watching television.


Jacklyn is survived by her five children - Brenda Brown, Paula Genereaux and Albert Genereaux, all of Hartford, Denise Genereaux of Tyler, Texas, and Sonja Temple of Florida; 12 grandchildren - Eric Brown, Jeffrey Brown, Kris Genereaux, Jessica Brown, Shawn Genereaux, Jennifer Gill, Joel Genereaux, Brandy Arnold, Michael Fisher, Sierra Temple, Tyler Temple and Siloman Temple; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; four sisters - Mary Maddox, Shirley (Bill) Sigfrids, Patricia (Brian) Andrews and Martha McConnell; and three brothers - Robert, Richard and Kenneth Antisdel.


Jacklyn is preceded in passing by her husband, Albert Genereaux; her parents; a grandson, Ronson; and a great-great granddaughter, Jaden.


The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 18, at the Calvin Funeral Home in Hartford. A celebration of life service to honor her memory will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 19, at the funeral home with Steve Winchester officiating. Jacklyn will be laid to rest in Rush Lake Indian Cemetery, Hartford Township. Memorial condolences for the family can be left at http://www.calvin-leonardfh.com.
