Ina May Nelson

Ina May Nelson was born May 17, 1934, in Kennett, Mo. She was the daughter of John and Willie (Wallace) Neal. Ina passed away peacefully at her home in Hartford on Friday, July 22, 2016. In addition to her parents, Ina was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; a grandson, Ethan Nelson; two sisters: Eddie Rhinehart and Margie Green, and two brothers: Luther Neal and Jim Paskel.

The family will welcome friends from noon-1 p.m. Monday, July 25, at the Calvin Funeral Home in Hartford, followed at 1 p.m. by a celebration of life service to honor Ina's memory. Pastor James Dunn of First General Baptist Church on Yore Ave., will officiate. Ina will be laid to rest in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Ina was a loving mother to her six children: Star (Rick) Davis, Michelle Nelson Wicoff both of Hartford, Stephanie (Ken) Panse of Douglasville, Georgia, Kelley (Robert) Bearden, Kevin (Sandy) Nelson both of Hartford and Jeff (Sherry) Nelson of Eatonton, Ga.; grandmother to nineteen grandchildren; great-grandmother to thirty two great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandmother to eight great-great-grandchildren; and a sister to Ruby (Carol) Parker of Hartford. She took great pride in being a home health care giver to many people over the years.
