Helen Maxine Bush

Helen Maxine (Kindle) Bush, 97, of Cassopolis passed away Friday, Nov. 6, 2020, at Royalton Manor, St. Joseph.

Helen was born Dec. 26, 1922, in Washington, DC, the daughter of Charles and Margaret (Alexander) Kindle, both of whom precede her in passing. Also preceding her in passing were her husband, Herman Bush; two sons: Thomas and William Kelly; and her sisters: Mary Lee Wesaw and Louise Tikal.

Helen was formerly employed at Fox Jewelers of Benton Harbor, Adams Electronics in Bangor and was the manager of an apartment complex in both California and St. Joseph. In her spare time, she loved painting.

Helen is survived by a son, George Kelly of St. Joseph; grandchildren: Shawna (Jay) VanWormer of Fountain Valley, Calif., Tamara (Sharif) Zaman of Friendswood, Texas, Colleen Pasilla of Cassopolis, Michelle (Bob) Kelly Neville of Kapolei, Hawaii, Timothy (Bobbie) Kelly of Osceola, Ind., Erin (Kristin) Kelly of West Fargo, N.D., Patrick (Kimberlee) Kelly of Bangor, and Scott Kelly (Danielle Sulzer) of Flagstaff, Ariz. She is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and two daughters-in-law:, Cindy Kelly of Flagstaff, Ariz. and Linda Kelly of Cassopolis.

The family will welcome friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, at the Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford. Following the visitation, Helen will be cremated and burial will be at a later date in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
