Georgia Marie (Gratzle) Hurley, 80, of Lawrence passed away Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016, at Bronson Commons, Mattawan.
Georgia was born Jan. 28, 1936, in Watervliet, the daughter of Donald and Margaret (Wood) Hunt, both of whom preceded her in passing. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Hanson and Sally Creveston; and three brothers: Don, Jim and Jerry Hunt.
Georgia was a registered nurse, working at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Ark., and at Lakeland Hospital, Watervliet.
Georgia is survived by seven children: Marian (John) Main of Lawrence, Laura (Greg) Crimm of San Antonio, Texas, Ann (Ren) Turner of Lawton, Charles Gratzle of Jonesboro, Ark., Dorothy (Andy) Robins of Kalamazoo, Cecelia (Dana) Webb of Raleigh, N.C., and John Gratzle of Laguna Hills, Calif. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; a brother, Merle (Pauline) Hunt of Paw Paw; and two stepchildren, Jeff and Lowliatta.
As per Georgia's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial mass to celebrate her memory will commence at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 16, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. German Perez-Diaz as celebrant. The family has entrusted the Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford, with arrangements.
