Felipe Gomez Ortega

Felipe Gomez Ortega, 79, of Hartford was born on Nov. 11, 1944, to Martin and Ramona (Ortega) Gomez, both of whom preceded him in passing. Also preceding him in passing were two brothers and two sisters.

Felipe passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2023, at his home.

Felipe was united in marriage to the former Deborah Halcomb. He was formerly employed on farms, and his greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends.

Felipe is survived by his wife; Deborah, three sons; Jesus (Josefina) Gomez of Hartford, Chad (Ashley) Baldwin of Lawrence and Rynald Baldwin of Donna, Texas; 17 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hartford where the Mass of Christian Burial will follow. Father German Perez-Diaz will be the celebrant. Felipe will be laid to rest in Fairview Memorial Cemetery in Watervliet Township.
