Eva Jane Johnson

Eva Jane (Huffman) Johnson, 87, of Hartford went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2020, at Ascension Borgess Hospital, Kalamazoo.

Mrs. Johnson was born April 8, 1933, in Ballard County, Ky., the daughter of Henry Otis Huffman and Dovie Marie (Edging) Huffman. She retired from Kayo Products of Benton Harbor. She loved to garden, her farm, shopping, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Full Gospel Assembly for many years.

Survivors include children: Gaytha (Matthew) Keech of Hartford, James (O Kyung) Johnson Jr. of Lakewood, Wash., Lisa (Donald) Tackett of Watervliet; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; brothers: Henry (Barbara) Huffman of Pullman, and Douglas (Sherry) Huffman.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James E. Johnson, whom she married on Oct. 11, 1958. Also her parents; her daughters: Donna Huddleston and Deborah Kling; son, Timothy Johnson; three sisters and three brothers.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29. A service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30. Pastor Shannon Truelove will officiate. A graveside service will be at Fairview Cemetery in Watervliet. There will be a luncheon to follow. Everything will be held at Full Gospel Assembly, 55921 CR 681, Hartford. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Hartford Public Schools Foundation for Quality Education.
