Erma Elizabeth Buskirk

Erma Elizabeth Buskirk was born April 23, 1930, in Decatur. She was the daughter of Joseph and Margaret (Martin) Keene. Erma passed away peacefully at Meadow Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bloomingdale on Sunday, May 11, 2014. In addition to her parents, Erma was preceded in death by her husband, Dion Buskirk Sr.; a son, Dion Buskirk Jr.; a daughter, Eunice Buskirk; two brothers; and two sisters.

Erma is survived by three sons: Edward Buskirk of Dowagiac, Larry (Brenda) Buskirk of Paw Paw and Kenneth (Jane) Buskirk of Gobles; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

The family will welcome friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, at Calvin Funeral Home in Hartford. A service to honor her memory will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 15, at the funeral home. The Rev. G. Erma was formerly employed at Knoose Foods of Paw Paw and Dickerson's Greenhouse in Gobles. She always loved her family very much and cherished the time spent with them.
