Emma Ray-Ann Darling

December 10, 2004 — February 7, 2024

Emma Ray-Ann Darling, of Coloma was born on Dec. 10, 2004, in Watervliet, to Michael Darling and Nicole Summerton. Emma passed away unexpectedly and peacefully in her sleep, at the age of 19, on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2024.

Emma was a ray of light to her family and friends. She was always smiling and making everyone laugh. Emma so loved being an aunt to her nieces and nephews; she enjoyed attending their recitals, sporting events, and spending time at the park. She was an avid animal lover; she enjoyed riding horses, cuddling with her dogs, and raising guinea pigs. Emma loved camping with her dad, grandfather and many siblings, sitting by campfires and making s’mores. Emma shared a special bond with her mother, excited to share everything with her. Emma enjoyed going shopping, and gambling at the casino with her mother. Emma was very close to all of her best friends, always going above and beyond to help anyone in anyway she could, touching the lives of everyone who knew her. She was a beautiful, happy, loving young lady who will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Emma graduated from Watervliet High School and recently became a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Emma leaves behind to cherish in her memory: her father, Michael (Jennifer) Darling; her mother, Nicole Summerton; her siblings: Alexis Darling, Breanna Darling, Carina (Brayden) Moore, Devonn Darling, Kyle Sisson, Austin Conklin, Lilie Darling and Anthony Darling; her grandparents: Paul (Nikki) Darling, Becky (Jim) Slaughter, Janice Summerton and Dennis (Carla) Summerton.
