Dianna Kay Lakey

Dianna Kay Lakey, 70, of Lawrence passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2020 at Lakeland Medical Center, St. Joseph.

Dianna was born Feb. 4, 1950, in Cardwell, Mo., the daughter of Miles and Essie (Smith) Carter. Dianna was a loving wife and mother who loved flowers, working in her garden, cooking and listening to gospel and country music.

On Nov. 21, 1989, Dianna and JR Lakey were united in marriage. JR survives, along with her children: Jimmey Carter, Teddy Weir Jr., Michelle Wright, Donna (Jerry) Trahan, Brenda (Chuck) Jenkins and Donnie Jean Lakey; and two sisters, Brenda Wright and Gwinn Titman.

The family will welcome friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 28, at the Calvin Funeral Home in Hartford. Due to current state and federal guidelines, please remember we have a restriction on how many can attend at one time, so when you come be patient and everyone will get in to greet the family.
