Dennis Ray Cook

Dennis Ray Cook, 64, of Hartford Township, passed away suddenly Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016, at home.

Dennis was born June 12, 1951, in Benton Harbor, the son of Gilbert and Elsie (Pointer) Cook, both of whom preceded him in passing. He was also preceded in passing by a brother, Earl Cook.

Dennis was a fan of the martial arts, especially karate.

Dennis is survived by three siblings: Kenneth Wayne (Marie) Cook of Pokagon, Dorlene (Thomas) Neely of Covert, and Virgil (Alice) Cook of Hartford; and many other family members.

As per Dennis' wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will welcome friends from 11:30 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Jan. 30 at the Hartford General Baptist Church. A memorial service to honor his memory will commence at noon. Pastor Steven Bisbee will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Dennis' name may be made to the family, in care of Virgil Cook. The family has entrusted the Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford, with arrangements.
