Denise Carol Cox

Denise Carol Cox, 57, of Benton Harbor passed away Sunday, May 3, 2015, at her home. She was born Jan. 1, 1958, in St. Joseph, the daughter of John Sr. and Magdaline (Nicpon) Gagliardo, both of whom preceded her in passing.

Denise owned and operated The Cradle Lounge in Watervliet. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister and friend who opened her arms to everyone.

Denise is survived by her husband of 38 years, Ricky Joe Cox Sr.; four children: Ricky Joe (Dawn) Cox of Sodus; Jessica Marie Cox and Marky Cox, both of St. Joseph; and Adrianna Marie Cox of Benton Harbor; two grandsons, Derick and Dayton; four siblings: John (Kay) Gagliardo of Coloma, Laurie (Steve) Turner of Riverside, Gary (April) Gagliardo of Coloma and Hope (Jeff) Leverton of Kalamazoo; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other family members.

Denise has been cremated, and a memorial service to honor her memory will be at 3 p.m. Friday, May 8, at Red Arrow General Baptist Church, with Pastor Richard Kaiser officiating.
