Debra Ann Griffin

Debra Ann Griffin, 64, of Lawrence passed away Monday, Oct. 18, 2021, at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.

Debra was born Feb. 13, 1957, in Paw Paw, the daughter of Paul and Ruth (Ishmael) Brink.

Debra is survived by her lifelong companion, Jim Griffin; four children, Cherish (Tom) Bolhuis, Jamie Griffin, Juston Griffin and Joe (Carie) Griffin; grandchildren, Jarrett, Adrianna, Johnathan, Hunter, Amithyst, Brayson, Preston, J.P., Declan, Addie, Taryn, Avery and Jaylen; nine great-grandchildren; mother, Ruth of Lawrence; a sister, Mina DeLong of Battle Creek, Mich.; and an uncle, Chuck Ishmael of Niles.

Debra was preceded in passing by her father, Paul; two grandchildren, Gabriel and Grayson; and two brothers, Gary Brink and Frederick Brink.

Debra has been cremated, and a memorial service to honor her memory will commence at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, at First Church of God in St. Joseph, with Chuck Ishmael officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. The family has entrusted Calvin Funeral Home in Hartford with arrangements.
