Debra Jo Cheatham-Wooten, 58, of Hartford went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 18, 2015.
Debra was born Aug. 7, 1956, in Benton Harbor, the daughter of Billy and Nancy (Garner) Cheatham, both of whom preceded her in passing. She read the Bible religiously, and liked taking long walks, bike riding, bowling and fishing. She had lots of fun playing disc golf. However, her most precious times were spent with her grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, March 22, at Full Gospel Assembly Church in Hartford, where the service to honor Debra's memory will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 23, with Pastors Shannon and Lonnie Truelove officiating. Debra will be laid to rest in Coloma Cemetery. Those wishing to make a memorial may do so to the family. Condolences for the family can be left at http://www.calvin-leonardfh.com.
Debra married Michael Wooten Sr. on June 21, 2014, and he survives, along with six children: Terry (Tamica) Smith and Joshua (Michelle) Smith, both of Grand Junction; Darrick (Mistelle) Smith of Bloomingdale; Kristina Smith of Hartford; Michael Wooten Jr. of Elkhart, Ind.; and Brittnee Fowler of Grand Junction; 10 grandchildren: Brooke, Mariah, Thor, Julian, Brandon, Brandy, Sydney, Elaine, Cody and Selah; a brother, Jeffery Cheatham of Springfield, Mo.; and two sisters: Kathy Bruns of Dallas, Texas, and Vicky (Lonnie) Truelove of Hartford.
