David Newton

David Newton, 71 of Stevensville passed away Monday, March 24, 2025, at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital, St. Joseph.

David was born July 25, 1953, in Benton Harbor, the son of Joe and Geneva (Elmore) Newton, both of whom preceded him in passing.

He was an avid Detroit Tiger fan. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of St. Joseph. He spent countless hours reading his Bible and studying scriptures. His other favorite pastimes were watching such shows as The 700 Club, Walker Texas Ranger and cheering on the Jeopardy Champions.

David is survived by the love of his life and very best friend, Debby Radke; his siblings: Imogene (Mike) Youdell, Mike Newton, Mark Newton, Lori Ashley and Lisa (Steven) Bisbee, along with numerous other family members and friends.

David has been cremated and a private family gathering is planned. The family has entrusted the Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford, with arrangements. Memorial condolences for the family may be left at http://www.calvin-leonardfh.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church, in St. Joseph.
