David Ray Crest

David Ray Crest was born April 7, 1962, in Poplar Bluff, Mo., the son of Donald and Sylvia (Traughber) Crest. David passed away suddenly Wednesday, May 31, 2017.

David is survived by his mother; four children: Michael (Stephanie) Fain of LaPorte, Ind., Shontai (Jacob) Kuhens of Kalamazoo, Zachariah Crest of Hartford and George Crest of Coloma; four grandchildren: Megghan Crain, Bryice Fain, Jackson Kuhens and Gavin David Kuhens; a sister, Tracy Crest of Benton Harbor; seven uncles; three aunts; a special friend, Laura Morrow, and many other family members and friends.

David was preceded in passing by his father; his maternal, and paternal grandparents, and an aunt.

David worked for his uncle, Rick Traughber, painting high rises. He loved traveling the world, simple things and knew everything about cars. His most precious times were spent with his family.

The family will welcome friends from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, at the Calvin Funeral Home in Hartford, where a celebration of life service will take place at 1 p.m. with Pastor Eric Jackson officiating. David will be laid to rest in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hartford. The family requests memorial donations in David's name be made to the Hartford Church of God.
