Danny Ray Vaughn

Danny Ray Vaughn, 44 of Hartford passed away suddenly Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph.

Danny was born May 24, 1968, in Benton Harbor, the son of Nathaniel Routesaw and Jo Ann Gingrich. Danny was a drywall finisher by trade, working in construction. In his spare time, Danny loved playing poker, especially Texas Hold 'Em, golf, travel and watching all kinds of sports.

Danny was preceded in passing by his father; a grandfather, John Smith; two aunts, Brenda Smith and LouAnne Holcomb; and two nieces, Storie Smith and Ashley Buckley.

Danny is survived by his mother, Jo Ann, of Hartford; a sister, Lucinda Morrison of Coloma; a grandmother, Betty Smith of Coloma; six aunts; one uncle; and two nephews.

Danny has been cremated. A memorial service to honor his memory will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 16, at the Hartford United Methodist Church with Pastor Jeff Williams as officiant. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Danny's name may be made to the family. The Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford, has been entrusted with handling the arrangements.
