Daniel Ryan Jacobs

Daniel Ryan Jacobs, 44, of Kalamazoo, Mich., passed away suddenly on Dec. 3, 2021, at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo, Mich.

Daniel Jacobs had a kind heart, especially for the world’s most vulnerable people. He perceived the world in a unique way, giving him a sense of humor, which made many laugh. He appreciated spending time with family and building relationships with people struggling with mental wellness and addiction.

Dan was born on July 1, 1977, to his mother, Donna and father, Andy. His parents shared with him their love of God, and he was baptized during a youth retreat in Phoenix. He had faith in God, regularly studied the Bible, and prayed.

During life, Dan enjoyed listening to music, playing guitar, and working on musical equipment. No doubt he inherited this love of music from his father, who passed away many years ago. There is comfort in the thought of his father welcoming Dan, and the two of them sharing music together.

Dan has been cremated, and the family will hold a memorial service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 8, at the Hope Lutheran Church in Hartford. Should weather or road conditions not be suitable, the memorial service will be postponed until a future date. The family has entrusted the Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford, with arrangements.
