Dale E. Brinsfield

Dale E. Brinsfield, 70 of Hartford, was born on Oct. 31, 1944, to Roy and Marion Brinsfield. He passed away Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2014, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph.

His parents precede him in death. Also preceding him are brothers: Kenny and Bobby Brinsfield and sisters: Mary Alice and O'Nieta Brinsfield.

He is survived by sisters: Lois Anders and Sue (Mike) Downey, both of Hartford and Glenda (Bud) Widner of Florida; brothers: Pat (Paula) Roush and Bill Hunt, both of Hartford and an aunt, Anna Bedes of Baldwin. Dale had some pretty amazing friends and hunting buddies that will get the trophy buck this fall in his honor. Those people are Bob (Kathy) Sinclair and Shanon (Laura) Sinclair. "Uncle Dale" leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. Left to carry on his strong sense of family are his girls: Kristen (Scott) Dixon, Holly (Brandon) Wolfe and April (Mike) Brown.

Dale served his country proudly in the United States Army and was awarded a Purple Heart on Nov. 17, 1967. He will be remembered for his patriotic pride. He was a straight shooter and he believed a man's word was his bond.

The family will welcome friends from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3 at the Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford. After the viewing, as were his wishes, Dale's body will be cremated and a private graveside service will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial donations in Dale's name be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
