Christine Alice Norden

On June 22, 2021, Christine Alice Norden; our loving wife and mother, passed away. Now, she is with the angels.

Christine was born on Aug. 12, 1949, in Michigan City, Ind., the daughter of Paul and Vera (Jorgenson) Nekvasil, both of whom precede her in passing. Also preceding her in passing are a brother, Paul Nekvasil Jr., and a sister, Betty Shail.

Christine was a very talented person: a homemaker, craft person and weaver. Also, she loved her flowers and tending to her garden.

Christine married Thomas Norden on Aug. 17, 1968, and he survives; along with a daughter, Heather Norden of Hartford; a son, Scott Norden of Hartford; a sister, Mary (Rodney) Fredenburg of South Bend, Ind.; and three brothers: Richard (Linda) Nekvasil of Galien, Frank (Ruth Anne) Nekvasil of Arvada, Colo., and Mike (Sue) Nekvasil of Berthoud, Colo.; a brother-in-law, David Norden of Hartford; and a sister-in-law, Connie (Bob) Kilburn of Sturgis.

As per Christine’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and the family will gather for memorial services from 2 to 4 p.m. on Friday, July 9 at the Hartford United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Christine’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
