Charles was born Jan. 24, 1914, in Hegewich, Ill., the son of John and Mary (Ryba) Struzik. He owned and operated Chuck's T.V. He was an avid fisherman, and loved bowling and watching horse racing, but his most pleasant times were spent with his family, especially his grandchildren, who called him "Grampy."
Charles married the former Teresa Goray on Aug. 2, 1952, and for the next 61 years they enjoyed each other's company. Teresa survives, along with their daughter, Barb (Dave) Walker of Hartford; a grandson, Rob (Sarah) Steiner of Ann Arbor; a granddaughter, Becky Steiner of Holland, Mich.; and a great-granddaughter, Amelia Steiner of Ann Arbor.

Charles was preceded in passing by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.
