Carl Lee Stone

Carl Lee Stone, 75 of Hartford, passed away suddenly Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2016 in Watervliet Township.

Carl was born Sept. 23, 1940 in Floral, Ark., the son of Jasper and Ilene (Galloway) Stone, both of whom precede him in passing.

Carl was formerly employed for Storey Electric of St. Joseph and, in 1976, went into electrical business for himself as Carl Stone and Son Electrical. In his spare time, he was a pilot who loved flying the friendly skies, playing solitaire on the computer and most of all, spending precious time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Carl married Janice (Jackson) Stone on Jun. 13, 1960. She survives, along with a son, Danny (Theresa) Stone of Dowagiac; two granddaughters: Trista (Corey) Warren and Santana Stone; a grandson, Joshua (Debbie) Stone; seven great grandchildren and a brother, Ted Stone of Judsonia, Ark.

As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a public gathering to honor his memory will take place at a later date. The family has entrusted the Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford, with arrangements.
