Brenda Kay Bonee

Brenda Kay Bonee, 62, of Hartford passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at her home.

Brenda was born Dec. 11, 1950, in Sadler, Ky., the daughter of Walter and Celesta (Vincent) Cook, both of whom preceded her in passing. She was also preceded in passing by a brother, David Stewart, on Sept. 25, 2004.

Brenda was the glue that held her family together. She was a loving wife to Rayburn and a precious mother to her daughter, Cirena Bonee, both of Albion. She cherished her step-son, Michael Harris of Savannah, Tenn., and her four grandchildren. She was a dear sister to Janice Herrington of Decatur, Walter Cook of Las Vegas, Nev., and Easel (Sandra) Stewart of Hartford. Brenda also enjoyed times with her 12 nieces and nephews; her lifetime friend, Doris Watson of Paragould, Ark.; and her many other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at the Calvin Funeral Home in Hartford, where a time of remembrance will be shared at 7 p.m. by anyone wishing to tell of their memories of Brenda. As to Brenda's wishes, cremation will follow the time of remembrance. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
