Bonnie Sue Lindley, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Lawrence Township, at the age of 73, on Feb. 21, 2021. It was a beautiful Sunday morning, the sun was shining and the birds were singing.
Bonnie was born on June 4, 1947, to Bud and Dorothy Roper in Paragould, Ark. She married Bill Lindley on Mar. 6, 2006, and she worked at Consolidated/Sealed Power from 1966-2009. She retired after 43 years of service. She will always be known as “Grandma Bonnie".
Bonnie was the mother of three children: Becky (Joe) Deckard of Hartford, Gary (Gina) Fisher of St. Joseph and Carrie (Jim) Roberts of Hartford. She was blessed with 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren and two stepdaughters, Dawn (Bruce) Haney of Bangor and Heidi (Art) Benavides of Hartford. She is also survived by one sister, Carol Collins of Hartford.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; her great-granddaughter, Jenessa Marie MacEachron; and her brother, Bill Roper.
Services will be at the Hartford General Baptist Church on Saturday, Feb. 27, at noon, with Pastor Steven Bisbee officiating. Visitation will be held before the funeral ceremony from 10:45 a.m. to noon. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
