Bobby Joe Williamson, 76, of Hartford was born on March 3, 1946, in Butler, Ala., the son of James and LouElla (Todd) Williamson. He passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2023, at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital, St. Joseph.
Bobby served his country proudly in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War. He formerly owned and operated Central Michigan Aluminum Die Cast company in Ethica, Mich., and then worked for multiple die cast companies over the years.
Bobby leaves behind to cherish his memory, a son, Bobby Williamson Jr.; two sisters, Diane Keown and Grace Rushing; a brother, Frank Williamson; special niece and nephew, Robin and Larry Williamson; and numerous other nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Bobby was preceded in passing by a daughter, Kimberly Elaine Williamson; his parents; three sisters: Betty Hartman, Mary Freel and Gertrude Mosley; and three brothers: Jimmy, Billy and Earl Williamson.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., on Tuesday, Jan. 17, at Maple Hill Cemetery in Hartford, with Pastor Benjamin Williamson of the Hartford Bible Church officiating. Full military rites will be performed by the North Berrien Military Rites Team. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, any American Legion or VFW post of your choice, or the charity of your choice.
