Beverly Annette Wesaw, of Coloma passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at the age of 63, at Spectrum Health Lakeland Medical Center, in St. Joseph, after a brave battle with sudden illness.
Bev had an utmost pride for her lineage and was very proud to be a member of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians. Beverly grew up in Hartford and lived her adult life in Coloma. She was a beautiful force of nature that loved her family very much; Bev’s grandchildren were the pride and joys of her life. She had a zest for life and knew how to always have a good time.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Thomas and Marian Wesaw; a baby sister, Marilyn Wesaw; and her beloved dog, Puppychow.
Beverly is survived by her daughter, Andrea Wesaw (Perry Mitchell); six grandchildren: Nicholas (Carly) Moore, Robert (Megan) Moore, Alaina Moore, Alexander Moore, Perry Mitchell IV, and Andrew Mitchell (Oceana); three great-grandchildren: Clevyer Gonzalez, Cairo Hernandez, and Robert Moore III; her siblings: Tammy Biars of Wisconsin, Sharon (Fuzzy) Pratt, Janet (John) Thomas, Mary (Steve) Winchester, Thomas Wesaw, Charles Wesaw, and Delores Wesaw; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will welcome friends from 10-11 a.m. Monday, March 28, at the Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford, where the service to honor her memory will commence at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Rush Lake Indian Cemetery, Hartford, with a luncheon to follow interment at the Coloma American Legion Post #362.
