Beryl Evelyn White

Beryl Evelyn White, 99, of Decatur passed away Monday, April 7, 2014, at The Timbers of Cass County.

Beryl was born July 17, 1914, in Wayne Township, the daughter of Joshua and Christena (Pecher) Leach. She was formerly employed with DuWell's in Bangor and the Watervliet Paper Mill. She lived for a number of years in California and enjoyed the winters in Florida. She also loved to travel, cook and bake.

Beryl was preceded in passing by her first husband, Ralph Bailey; her second husband, Joseph White; her parents; and five sisters: Mildred Bailey, Neva Brown, Doris Howe, Wanda Downey and Lillian Leach.

Beryl is survived by a sister, Martha (Lyle) Hamilton of Dowagiac; a brother, Roger Leach of Decatur; and numerous other family members.

As to Beryl's wishes, cremation has taken place. A graveside memorial service to honor her memory will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, May 2, 2014, at Keeler Cemetery with Pastor Mike Heflin officiating. Those wishing to leave condolences for the family may do so at http://www.calvin-leonardfh.com.
