Barry Lawrence Johnson, 78, of Hartford passed away Monday, Feb. 10, 2020, at Hanson Hospice Center, Stevensville.
Barry was born Oct. 5, 1941, in Pasadena, Calif., the son of Joseph and Frances (Campbell) Johnson, both of whom precede him in passing. Also preceding him in passing is a brother, Bruce Johnson.
Barry served his country proudly in the United States Army. He was formerly employed at Hoffman Die Cast in St. Joseph. He enjoyed reading books about westerns, going to the casino, and most importantly, spending time with his loving family.
Barry married the former Virginia Irvin on Sept. 18, 1981. She survives, along with two sons, Barry II of Reno, Nev., and James Bordes of Tennessee; a daughter, Jamie Westerfield of Kentucky; a granddaughter, Amelia Cassity of Hartford; a great-granddaughter, Isabella Cassity; and two sisters, Bea Pemberton and Barbie Johnson, both of Albuquerque, N.M.
As per Barry’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no public services will be held. The family has entrusted the Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford, with arrangements. Those wishing to leave memorial condolences for the family may do so at http://www.calvin-leonardfh.com.
