Barbara Allen Stair

Barbara Allen Stair was born Jan. 1, 1933, in Reeves, Ark., the daughter of Hughie and Pearl (Griffen) McNail. Barbara went to be with the Lord on Oct. 22, 2017, at home at the age of 84.

Barbara retired as a cook from Hartford Public Schools after many years of employment.

Barbara is survived by her three children: Malinda (Deslin) Gargus of Hartford, Jeronda Risenhoover of Visalia, Calif., and Scott (Wendy) Stair of Hartford; eight grandchildren: Dana (Rick) Little, DJ (Betsy) Ruple, Chad (Laura) Gargus, Marcus Stair, Eric (Terri) Kelsey, Bambi (Dennis) Weston, Skyler Stair and Seanna Stair; 11 great-grandchildren: Krystin, Adelle, Harper, Alexis, Isabelle, Matthew (Lainey), Marissa, Kyle, Tracen, Kali and Max; and two great-great-grandchildren, Charlie Rose and Sophie. She is also survived by a sister, Betty Mahaffey of Branson, Mo.; a brother, Jimmy (Vicki) McNail of Missouri; and many other family members and friends.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Eual Stair; her parents and three brothers.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30, at Full Gospel Assembly Church, Hartford, with funeral services starting at 2 p.m. The Rev. Lonnie Truelove will be officiating. Barbara will be laid to rest next to her husband at Maple Hill Cemetery, Hartford. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Shriner's.
