Barbara Dianne Nearpass

Barbara Dianne Nearpass, 69, of Eau Claire went to be with her Lord Monday, April 15, 2013, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph.

Barbara was born June 16, 1943, in Middlesboro, Ky., the daughter of Charles and Zola (Brooks) Ramsey Jr., both of whom preceded her in passing. Also preceding her in passing was a grandchild, Eryn Micah.

Her greatest joy was the precious times she spent with her family, especially the 17 grandkids. She was a loving wife to her husband, Guy, and a wonderful mother to her children, Charles (Michelle) Nearpass of Berrien Springs, Julia (Keith) Klann of Dowagiac, Scott (Erika) Nearpass of Coloma and Guy (Melissa) Nearpass Jr. of Dowagiac. She is also survived by her two brothers, Ted (Marcelle) Ramsey of Michigan and Richard (Linda) Ramsey of Tennessee.

Barbara was a member of the Keeler General Baptist Church, where she taught Vacation Bible School for a number of years. She enjoyed helping her husband with their garden and she would challenge everyone to beat her at the Mario Brother's game.

A celebration of life service will held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 20, at Keeler General Baptist Church, with Pastor Efrain Maya officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial donations in Barbara's name be made to the Diabetes Association or the Keeler General Baptist Church.
