Arthur Ray Swisher

Arthur Ray Swisher was born Dec. 29, 1924, in Hartford, the son of Chester and Verna (Harris) Swisher. Arthur passed away Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2024, at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital, St. Joseph.

Art, as he was known by most, served his country honorably in the United States Navy during World War II.

Art is survived by his two sons: Jeffery Swisher and Tim Swisher and his grandchildren.

Art was preceded in passing by his wife, Herta on Dec. 7, 1991 and his parents.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no formal services. The family has entrusted the Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford, with arrangements.
