Antonia Reyna Vigil, 65, of Lawton was born July 13, 1951, in Santa Cruz, Matahuala, San Luis Potosi, Mexico, to Nazario and Catalina (Galligos) Reyna, both of whom preceded her in passing. Antonia passed away at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo, on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016, surrounded by her loved ones.
The family welcomed friends from 2-5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Hartford, with the Mass of Christian celebration to honor her memory commencing at 5 p.m. with the Rev. Fabio Garzon as celebrant. Following the ceremony, cremation will take place. Flowers or memorial donations may be made to the family. In 1970, she married Florencio Vigil Sr. He survives, along with six sons: Juan E. Vigil of Lawton, Diego (Merit) Vigil of Paw Paw, Florencio (Brandy) Vigil Jr. of Portage, Daniel (Haley) Vigil of North Carolina, Lorenzo Vigil of Lawton and Jorge (Flor) Gonzalez of Lawrence; two daughters, Sandra (Juan) Franco of Lawton and Irene (Florencio) Vigil of Sturgis; 33 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Marcos Reyna of Hartford; and two sisters, Eluteria Reyna of Fennville and Solia Reyna of Mexico.
In her spare time, she loved tending to her flowers in the garden, cooking, get-togethers, shopping and helping those less fortunate than her. But her most enjoyable times were spent with her family. Antonia and her husband were the ultimate couple and were inseparable.
