Anna Raye Nadason, 84, of Coloma passed away Monday, April 7, 2014, at The Willows in St. Joseph.


Anna was born July 25, 1929, in Milledgeville, Tenn., the daughter of William and Lissie (Hart) Benson. She was formerly employed with Watervliet Paper Mill and was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ. Anna loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter, Hali, who was the joy of her life.


Anna is survived by her daughter, Melvina "Mel" Burchfield, and her granddaughter, Hali both of Hartford; a sister-in-law, Georgia Benson of Davis Junction, Ill.; and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.


Anna was preceded in passing by her husband, Melvin Nadason; her parents; her twin brother, Johnnie Benson; and two sisters, Nadine Hatley and Joyce Phipps.


The family will welcome friends from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, June 7, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ on Bainbridge Center Road. A memorial service to honor her memory will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, with Pastor Miryam Hammond officiating. Anna's ashes will be buried in the church's cemetery.
