Ann Sheridan Beckman

Ann Sheridan Beckman (Sharon), 68, of Watervliet passed away Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014 at Lakeland Community Hospital, Watervliet.

Ann was born Oct. 17, 1945, in Caruthersville, Mo., to Vester and Savine (Haney) Cook. She was formerly employed at Sharper Image for 12 years. In her spare time, she loved taking family vacations, enjoyed bowling and was a longtime member of First General Baptist Church in Coloma.

Ann is survived by her daughter, Pam (Doug) Marsh of Buchanan; one granddaughter, Yavonne Otwell of Buchanan; two grandsons, Travis Morris of Coloma and Tyler Morris of Coloma; and two sisters, Jackie (Bill) Brenneke of St. Joseph and Mary Elizabeth Mitchell of Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond J. Beckman; a son, Jerry Morris, just last month; her parents; three sisters: Eva Townley, Vester Mae Wilson and Linda Cook; a brother, Donald Cook; three nieces: Debra Montero, Marsha Brenneke and Linda Townley; and a nephew, Bobby Townley.

The family will welcome friends from 2-3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, at First General Baptist Church, 6365 North Shore Drive, Coloma, where the service to honor her memory will commence at 3 p.m. Pastor Tom Langston will officiate. As to her wishes, cremation will follow the service. The family asks memorial donations in Ann's (Sharon) name be made to the American Lung Association in lieu of flowers.
