Angel D. Morseau, 46, of Baraga, Mich., passed away on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025, at Baraga County Memorial Hospital.
Angel was born Feb. 17, 1979, in Okeechobee, Fla., to Cleora Morseau and the late Orville Goss. At the age of 4, Angel settled in Baraga, with her family, where she resided for the rest of her life.
Angel was a member of the Pokagon Tribe and was proud of her heritage. Through her life, she participated in a variety of native ceremonies and events.
Angel attended Baraga Area Schools and was proud to serve as cheerleader for the varsity sports teams.
Two areas of passion in her life were reading and walking, both of which she did throughout her life.
Angel had four children: Jacob, Isaac, Christian and Ayahna. She has two brothers, George (Angela) and Shawn; and a sister, Christine, who preceded her in death. Recently, she was blessed with a grandchild, Jett. She also has two nieces, Alyssa and Amaya.
Angel also leaves behind her mother, Cleora; step-father, Mike Jensen; and beloved partner, Mark Emery.
The family will welcome friends from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 28, at the Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford, where Native American rites will be conducted by Kevin Daugherty. The service to honor Angel’s life will be held at noon, on Saturday, March 1, at the funeral home, with burial to follow in Sacred Heart of Mary Cemetery, Silver Creek Township.
