Andrew Kim Muday, 38, was born on March 6, 1983, in Seoul, Korea. He arrived home to the loving arms of Andrew and Mary (Lhotka) Muday, who survive him along with a sister, Kathryn B. Goodrich (Alex) of Lawton, Mich.; five nieces: Jaden, Riley, Skylar, Kailee and Charli; and boyfriend, Ricky Eden in Nashville, Tenn. He is also survived by many aunts and uncles.
Andrew passed away suddenly on Sept. 18, 2021, in Nashville, Tenn. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Herbert and Mildred Lhotka; and Andrew and Theresa Muday; and his loving cat, Mesu.
Andrew delivered newspapers in Lawrence for a weekly paper at the age of 12, and worked at Cathy’s Kitchen at 14, before going on to Harding’s in Hartford. He loved working, and was very work oriented. He graduated in 2001 from Lawrence High School, attended college at Western Michigan University, and drove school bus in Kalamazoo, Mich., before his love of traveling made him make the decision to drive over the road trucking for the past 18 years. He owned his own truck and worked for a company in Grand Rapids, Mich., called ELITE SD.
He was a former boy scout at Troop 197 in Lawrence, played trombone in the Lawrence Bands and was an altar server at Immaculate Conception in Hartford.
A visitation will take place at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 27, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hartford, and a Memorial Mass will follow, with a luncheon after the services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. The family has entrusted the Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford, with arrangements.
