Allen Edward Clauser

Allen Edward Clauser was born May 22, 1943, in Benton Harbor. He was one of four children born to Allen and Marie (Eiserman) Clauser. He passed away at Medilodge of Holland on Monday, Dec. 12, 2016.

Al, as he was known, owned and operated Al's Tree Service for many years. He also worked at the former Mercy Hospital in Benton Harbor. He loved collecting antiques and was known as a hoarder.

The family will welcome friends from 1-2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16, 2016, at the Calvin Funeral Home in Hartford, followed by a celebration of life service to honor Al's memory. The Rev. Steven Bisbee of the Hartford General Baptist Church will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Michigan. Al is survived by a sister, Virginia (Ralph) Black; eight nieces and nephews: Marc (Lisa) Clauser, Terry (Larry) Adams, Raymond Clauser, John (Jody) Clauser, Rebecca (Raymond) Evans, Ralph Black, Bart Black and Wendy (Tim) Boyd; along with numerous great-nieces and nephews.

Al was preceded in passing by his parents; a sister, Elna Clauser; and a brother, Irving Clauser.
